I have been reading that iron supplements can help with sluggishness and low energy....thats me! The bottle says 2 pills a day. Any idea when might be the best time to take them? I am so exhausted by 330 that I come home from work and collapse in bed...so should I take them at lunch to help with the afternoon troubles, or will taking them at breakfast (with my other vitamins) do the trick?

Thanks for your wisdom...Im tired of beng tired!

My sister was just diagnosed as being anemic and her doctor suggested slow release iron tablets. I think she told me her husband got her One-a-day tablets. Maybe the slow release is easier on the stomach and obviates the need for taking them more than once a day. I saw your other post. I know the stress you can be under as I was basically out of work for about 4 months doing intermittent contract work. What about long baths, they always make me feel much better. Maybe you and DH could give each other a massage as it seems like you are both probably under stress. I will keep you in my prayers.

I know how you feel. I have been checked for hypothyroidism and my thyroid looks fine. I was hoping it was a simple thing like taking a pill and I'd have more energy!

On the weekends I'm so tired that by the time I shower, put on makeup and dry my hair I'm too exhausted to go anywhere.

Let me know how the iron supplements work for you.

Careful! Warning! Careful!

Ok, I know that this is not the case with everyone, but iron pills make me so very sick and I know they affect others in that way. I have been anaemic my whole life, but I have realized there is nothing I can do about it but eat better. I just bring this up because you are a teacher (I think) and I would hate for you to be in front of you class and your kids say, "Ms. Wormann, why are you turning white?" Maybe start with one pill a day to see if you get sick first.
