Where can I purchase this book? Here on CL or elsewhere. I just received my Cooking Light 2000 the other day. It has been my bedtime reading. Wish there was more pictures though....love those pictures. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Mamasue it is also available through the Cooking Light website under "Store" then it will take you to the Oxmoor House Website this site sells cookbooks for Cooking Light and it's affilliates. I saw the 5 Star book on that site yesterday. I don't have that one but I am truly contemplating it. I ordered the Complete CL and am eagerly awaiting it's arrival. Happy Hunting.

You could also try www.amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com) -- that's where I got my copy of the 5-Star Cookbook (it is wonderful, by the way!). I'm a big Amazon fan -- I've always had good experiences with the ease of use of the site, speedy shipments, and great customer service.

I would recommend that you go to payonlyshipping.com and look to see whether bn.com or amazon.com has the best "cyber" coupons. I think the last I checked, amazon.com had one where you spend $20, get $10 off...

Speaking of the 5 star cookbook, has anyone tried the Mocha Fudge Pie? When I tried to make it as directed, the filling came out the consistency of a thick paste.
I don't have the recipe here, and I certainly acknowledge that it could've been my mistake. Just wondering what experience you guys have had.

Would someone who has the 5 star cookbook mind posting a sampling of the recipes from the table of contents? Not the actual recipes, just a list of the recipes in the book? Barnes and Noble didn't have it for me to look at in person and I'm considering ordering it from my cookbook club. Thanks!

I really liked the mocha fudge pie. It's been a while since I made it but are you talking about the brownie-mix crust being like glue? I do remember it being very, very thick but after it was cooked it was like a brownie-cake consistency. The 2nd layer was more like a mousse.

Hi Kathleen:
I'm not sure what the problem was, but I've made the pie several times and I've used two small boxes of pudding with no problems. Maybe it was just a fluke. I hope you'll try it again because it's definitely worth it! Jeanne

Laden:
My problem was with the second, mousse-like layer. It came out originally looking like the brownie batter!
Maybe the problem was with the pudding mix. It called for a large box (I forget how big), and I subsitituted 2 small ones.
It was probably my goof. I'll try it again sometime soon.
