I tried to find this thread, but it looks like I'm starting it. I think I'm on the opposite workout schedule of most of the regular contributors!
I thought about going to the gym today for a trip on the treadmill but decided the weather was too gorgeous to be inside. I did a 2-mile trip around the neighborhood.
Anyone else been busy today?

Hi, Melanie! You are right, it is too nice to be inside. I did exactly the same as you. I was planning to do the treadmill (too windy to run outside), but it was so nice otherwise that I decided to take the dog for a walk. We did 2 miles around the neighborhood too! :p
Definitely planning to run tomorrow afternoon! (Now I'll have to do it!)
Who else got a workout in?

Hi Melanie and Kathy!
Today I played 9 holes of golf with my DH. Not sure what I will fit in this weekend...

Hi.
On Friday I went to my trainer and today (Saturday) I went for an almost 2-mile run while DD rode her bike ahead of me. It's a very nice day here. I'm trying to pack in a lot of exercise before my hernia surgery on Thursday :(

Hi everyone. What a gorgeous day!!!!
I did a Pilates class this morning that was a lot of fun (and a good bit of pain...the good kind.)
Martha..good luck with your surgery...how long will you have to refrain from exercise?
Anyone else working out today?

Hi All!
Yesterday (Friday) I went to Pilates class. This morning I had planned to run with DS2, but had a bad (hormone induced, I think) headache, so I only ran a little, but walked briskly while he did his run.
Melanie and Kathy - the same workout in two different time zones - cool :)
Peggy - now that it's cooled off here, golf is sounding good again!
Martha - I'll send good thoughts your way Thursday - you're in good shape, so I imagine you'll bounce back quickly :)

Hi, all! Sounds like everyone is having good weather and good workouts. Good job all around! :D
Martha, I don't blame you for trying to pack in some workouts before your surgery. Do you know how long you will be off your exercise routine? I think Sheila is right, that your fitness level will be very beneficial in helping you bounce back quickly!
This morning I did yoga before starting the usual Saturday family shuttle service ;) , and this afternoon I went for a little over 2 mile run. Tomorrow DH, DD and I are doing a 5K. I had planned to walk with DD, but since her dad is coming, too, I may go ahead and run. Fortunately, the weather is supposed to be great again Sunday. I'll let you know how it goes...

Thanks for your good wishes. I also hope that my general good health will help me recouperate quickly. The doc. didn't say what the recovery was like, except that I should be able to get back to most activities in about a week. I don't think he meant weight lifting, though :D
I've PM'd a BB member who had the same surgery and hope to hear back from her about her experience.
Kathy, good luck today! Let us know how it goes.

Hi, all! Well, I ended up running in the 5K this morning while DH and DD walked. DS was our cameraman. :D (School rules, not allowed to participate in such activities during CC season). It was a very small race, but a really FUN time, and I actually won 3rd place for my age group. (I mean it was a REALLY small race! :p ) What a hoot, though!
Anyone else working out today? Post it right here!

Congratulations, Kathy!!! 3rd place is terrific! :D
I forgot to post my workout yesterday, but I did a full-body workout with weights. Instead of using the jump-rope between exercises, I decided to run laps around the gym floor. Cardio is cardio, right? :D

Thanks Martha and Melanie! I was tickled, but let me assure you it was a tiny race. I had heard about 150, but later found out it was more like 90 total runners/walkers. I doubt there was much more than 3 in my age group! :p We had a great time, but we were all a little sore today. Lots of hills!
