Pregnant & over 40!

I just found out that I am 6 weeks pregnant. The pregnancy was not planned although it was not unplanned either. I did not think that I would be able to conceive again. I had fertility issues and needed to take progesterone for my 2 1/2 yr son. About a year ago I began similar fertility therapy with no success, so this was a surprise, a very pleasant one. My DH is thrilled. I am a bit afraid to get too excited for it is so early, and I am too familiar with the reality of possible miscarriage.

Bijoux- What WONDERFUL news!! I am so very happy for you!! I hope all goes well. Here's some inspiration for you- my co-worker has a sister-in-law who thought she was going through menopause. She was 48 years old and not feeling right. Well, she found out she was pregnant at 48!! She delivered at the end of last year- a very healthy baby girl. No problems whatsoever. Thank you all so much for your good wishes. I am going to wait a bit before I tell (other than Mothers and best friends). I thought I would wait until the first trimester is over, things are less scary then. Thanks for letting me share the good news with you. :-)
