Hi,

Pretty new dilemma (for me): I need to find a nice, clean, well-equipped gym or two where I can work out as a guest while on vacation in CA. Normally I would either use the hotel health club or be able to run outside. This time, though, I m staying with friends and can t run much, so I will want a couple of really good gym workouts (hills of SF aside!) http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif. I can ask my friends about good gyms, but thought I remembered reading something about a web resource for such things. Does anyone know of such a site? (And if not, by chance does anyone know of any great gyms in SF and area where I could get a guest pass?)

Thanks!
Natasha

If you belong to a gym where you live, there's a good chance it's part of a network of gyms around the country. They should have a book which lists participating clubs. I've never done this, but I know I've always belonged to clubs that participated, and it seemed like a neat idea.

Hey, Natasha!

This looks like a pretty good article...the gyms are divided up by SF region, and have plenty of discription. By the way, when is your trip?

Thanks, guys!

Susie, that's a great idea. I will have to ask my gym though I'm not optimistic that it will offer something like this. I use other local/regional branches of the same gym, but am not sure if it has networks with other chains. Hmmm...

Emily,
Wow! What a site. Thank you!! I will have no shortage of options. Maybe I'll just gym-hop the whole time I'm there and skip doing anything else. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif No, thanks...
You asked when I'm going: it's next week. Yippee-yi, yippee-yay!
