HELP! I know there are many ebay sellers on this site. Someone got into my ebay account and posted a bunch of listings that are not mine. I reported it and now I am getting notices that I am suspended. I cannot even get into my account.

When I got the first (30+ emails)saying that things were listed by me I DID NOT click a link from the email but typed the ebay address into my address bar. when I got to MyEbay it indeed showed me listing about 36 purses for sale. I reported it and I am now suspended. I cannot even get in to change my credit card. (I did change my password before the suspension)

I cannot even email ebay because I cannot sign in!!!!!

Does anyone have an email address that does not require signing in?

I have been with ebay for years and have never sold anything...only purchased. I have a 100% rating and have a feeling that is going away.

I checked my CC online and no purchased have been made. I think I need to cancel it but wanted to get feedback from ebay users. Maybe you have seen this happen before.

THANK YOU!!!

Go to the ebay website, select HELP, then CONTACT US. It will give you the option to sign in OR to sign is as a guest, then you can email them. I hope that helps a litttle!

So sorry to hear about this! I just logged into eBay and asked someone via "live help" what you should do. Since I didn't have your user id and email address, this is what they said:

"She may use this link and click on Email Us: http://pages.ebay.com/help/contact_us/_base/result_6_8_2.html."

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Thank you so much both of you!

I was in a complete panic and I know others have asked ebay questions and have received great advice here.

I did the live chat and they ended up calling me and resolving the issue over the phone. Someone did get into my ebay account. My credit card has no suspicious activity thank goodness. My good standing is not compromised :) and I can get back on my account.

I have never clicked on a link from email so I am not sure how this happened. Ebay had me change my email password and reinstated my account. They believe it had to do with my email account.

I am very impressed with ebay's help. They had my email providers customer service number for me and links to the password change page. They were very helpful and very quick (very important to a panicking customer...lol!). Just wanted to put in a good word for ebay!

Kim, thank you for getting that link...that was above and beyond and I really appreciate it!!!!

Thanks! and Whew!

Glad to hear you got this resolved quickly and with no damage.

You can call your credit card company and have them pay close attention to your account and report any suspicious activity. This would be easier than canceling and might give you peace of mind in the meantime.

Whew is right!

Lisa - I'm glad you got this resolved so quickly. Live Help is not usually very helpful so this is a pleasant surprise!

I change my passwords every now and then but now that I'm using Turbo Lister which links to my ebay account, I am nervous to change it because I might get blocked out of TL.

All's well that ends well! Sorry you had to go through that.
