Yes I know that I have posted this before, but we only have a couple of slots left. We just arrived back in town from visiting my in-laws in NYC. You should have seen the leaves.... Awesome!
For those that have e-mailed me, this is just a friendly reminder. Have a great week and weekend! Susan and I cannot wait to meet all of you.
Hello all!
We have decided to meet on Friday, Oct 20th, at the Paradise Bakery & Cafe that is located at 1010 E 2100 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84106 at 6:30pm. Here is link for directions... http://local.google.com/maps?q=1010...Lake+City%2C+UT Paradise is on the south side of 2100 South by Washington Mutual, Pei Wei and just west of the Granite Furniture Building. They have a great selection of sandwich's, soups, pasta and salads. The bakery is awesome. Here is a link to their website: http://www.paradisebakery.com/index.php. I am going to try and grab the big round table at the back of the restaurant that looks out over 2100 South. I am 5' 7", dark brown hair (with a touch of salt & pepper) silver frame glasses. My wife is 5' 6" darker blonde hair that is just shorter than shoulder length.
This is what I had in mind for the Salt Lake Supper Club (SLSC). (These are just ideas that I have gathered while doing some research. Nothing is set in stone)
* Purpose: To enjoy a good meal with friends who enjoy cooking.
* What is expected as a host: To host a dinner at their home and provide the main entree and provide a copy of the recipe to the other members.
* What is expected from each member: To participate monthly, and provide a copy of the recipe to the other members.
* What should we expect from the club: A good meal, good friendship and some new recipes to try on our own.
* Why are we meeting? Because we love food and like to cook.
* Are we talking gourmet cooking? No, but we are not talking about a pasta salad from Albertson's either.
* How many people are you planning for the group: Max 10 singles or 5 couples for a total of 9-10 persons. If we get more than that, I would like to set up a second group that we could meet with during the summer months and also be able to share recipes with.
See you there!
