Wanted to let you all know about a terrific Web resource: http://www.aboutproduce.com!
The site features all kinds of information on fruits, vegetables, health, and nutrition.

Aboutproduce.com has fabulous recipes- and an e-mail recipe club- plus produce news and a database that contains hundreds of types of fruits and vegetables. You can search for information about a particular fruit or vegetable and its availability, tips on storage and handling, nutritional content, preparation, and more. Plus, there are answers to frequently-asked questions on food safety, health, and nutrition.

If you've ever picked up a spaghetti squash and wondered how to store it, how to serve it, or what the nutritional content was, or if you have ever wondered when a cherimoya, or any other type of fruit or vegetable is available, or, you just need quick and easy recipe ideas, aboutproduce.com has it.

This is a great site for anyone who enjoys fresh produce, wants to learn more about produce and nutrition, or who wants to encourage their family to eat healthier.

I took a look at this site. I didn't look at any recipes, but they do have a lot of information about fruits and veggies including, nutritional info., growing season, and storage tips. The poster is upfront about the fact that she works for the organization that hosts the website (it's listed in her profile) and I don't find this offensive. I know that I will probably be in the minority. I think that this site could be useful as a resource tool. The thing about those "other" posts was that they tried to be sneaky and pass themselves off as "one of us". At least this time they were honest. I kind of see this post in the same light as one of us posting another website that we enjoy. Oh well, just my two cents worth.

I'm with you, Cheryl. I took a look at this website and I think it is pretty cool! I think it is something that I will find very useful. I haven't looked at the recipes either, but I do like the A-Z index where it tells you nutritional and serving information for all the different produce. I wasn't offended in the least.

So thanks, KKoczak, for posting this website that I probably wouldn't have otherwise found on my own. I think I will find it to be a great resource, and I hope others will too!
