I am thinking about buying a Nordic Track treadmill and I would appreciate any advice that any of you have about this! I already have a recumbent bike but I would like some variety and in the morning it would be easier to walk or run inside than outside! Thanks for your help!!

Don't know if I have much advice to offer, but I do have a Nordic Track which I use just about every day. Love it. Would get another one in a heartbeat. It took me about three weeks to get comfortable with coordinating arms and legs. Started off with just legs and gradually added arm movements.

DH wants to get a Treadmill, but wants a good one ( $2000+ ). He wants higher HP and the longer platform, since he is 6'4". Also, the pricer ones are quiet. I, on the other hand, am not interested in this equipment, as I find the motion bothers me once I get off.

I was just moving this thread up to see if anyone has a Nordic
Track, as this is the brand he is looking for. Has anyone bought one since this post first started? He is interested in the 7100 R, which is on sale now too.

By the way, does anyone use www.ifit.com for their workouts? Most treadmills today can connect to that site.

I have had my Nordic Track EXP2000 for over a year now and I love it. I can't remember how much we paid...maybe around $1100? Anyway, it is compatible with the iFit workouts, but I have never tried that feature.

I just bought the Health Rider. I purchased the next to the
highest model (# 700) but they were out of stock so
they upgraded it to the Model # 900 (for free, I got lucky!).
In any event, I look it. After I purchased it and before it
was deliverred I had second thoughts because it was
rated 6th in this month's Consumer Reports. However,
when I read the CR article closely, it did not seem to
be that they were comparing the same price models.
The one that was rated the highest was much more
expensive. So the bottom line is, for the money, I
really like the Health Rider.
