We bought a Bowflex last fall, but really haven't gotten into using it regularly. I was wondering if anyone out there has one and uses it. Please tell me of your success or failure with it. Thanks.

funnybone,
While we don't have one, a couple we are best friends with does. And they love it! Pat uses it faithfully every other day, and although she is on the "thin" side, she has really started to see muscle definition. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply. I don't have doubts that it works, but I think I just need a push into using it, I guess. I really don't have much weight to lose, I just need to tone my body, so I think I can see results in the 6 weeks they claim. I guess it would help if I could use it when the kids wouldn't interrupt me. THAT, I find is the #1 deterrent to exercise - being able to do it in peace. Thanks again.

funnybone,
I'm in the market for some new home gym equipment and have been checking out the BowFlex and the Band Flex...have you started to use yours yet?
Just wondering, and if so, are you satisfied and would you recommend it?

I have posted on certain threads how I can't get into Bowflex. However, I do intend to start using it. I have been doing Tae Bo for a while (have been on vacation for almost 2 weeks so I haven't done any since), and wanted to get "into" that first before I moved on. I have been enjoying Taebo, but do need to incorporate a weights workout soon.

I think it is a great system, but I am not used to doing weights. If I were use to weights, I would be into it fully, I believe. DH loves it, although he does not use it every other day as recommended. We have friends who do not have one, and have tried ours, and love it (one has Soloflex and thinks Bowflex is better).

Honestly, I cannot give you a fair analysis as I am not familiar with many other systems. A couple of others have mentioned they have one and love it, so hopefully you will get responses from them.

Have you checked out the website for Bowflex? Maybe they have some info or a discussion board where you can get better info.

Anybody have any idea how much Bowflex's cost? Are they easy to find used or do people love them so much they don't give them up?

We recently bought a bowflex to replace our soloflex that we have had for years.

The bowflex is wonderful!! I love it as does my husband who is used to working out with free weights in a gym.

It is easy to use, you can do any type of exersize imaginable on it including aerobic rowing and it stores away easily.

I LOVE It and would highly recommend it.

There are different price structures depending on the attachments. Go to their site www.bowflex.com and all the prices are there. You can also request a free video, which we did, and they send it out no charge.

Well...after many months of procrastination I am now the proud owner of one Bowflex...I found it on ebay, and the seller lived locally and we were able to cook up a deal!

Sooo...my lovely dining area is now my "home gym"...oh well...I always wanted to be able to view my moves under dimmed track lighting ;-}

Seriously tho...the bowflex is really great...I am able to do all the exercises I did at the gym on the Universal...and then some...it really seems smooth and fluid...I just need to work on how the system equates in poundage...although it seems fairly easy...

I'll keep you all up-to-date on my progress! And to all of you out there that own one...

HOW ABOUT A BOWFLEX CHALLENGE????
