In 2 weeks I am having a Minnie Mouse birthday party for DD who is turning 1. Aside from DS, everyone at the party will be adults - 7 adults total.

Would anyone here have any fun and creative placecard ideas for the dinner table?

(At the last minute one part of the family cannot make it so we can now sit at the dining room table all together - YAY!!).

Thanks!

misskitty-

I believe that you can order antenna balls that look like Minnie Mouse. They're made of foam, so you should be able to put a small slit in them to hold a place card.

I'll keep thinking as well - very cute theme!

Just wanted to add that any ideas don't have to be Minnie Mouse specific - I can adapt a suggestion to that theme.

Thanks!

Still theme specific, but I think it would be cute to have business card size (or a little smaller) place cards and just glue two black circles to the back to stick up like her ears, and then on the front glue her little red bow between the ears, then it's more of a suggestion of minnie mouse...if you don't have placecard holders or some sort already you could just fold a card in half so it stands up on its own and do the same thing.

Okay, so these are cute, but they're like $7 each, so they might be a bit impractical for your purposes!!!

BUT...what if you cut out the the MM head shape with the ears in black construction paper, glued on the red bow and wrote the names on with a white gel pen??? That would be cute too!

Terri,

Very cute! Is the head one dimensional and if so, do you know what it is resting on?

I had another idea too....tell me what you all think....What if I got a bunch of Black & White photos of Minnie and wrote on each photo - "John, XOXO Minnie "etc. Sort of like she autographed a photo for each person and I would just lay it across the plate for each setting? We leave Wednesday for DL, so I will be on the look out for something like this. I really like the other suggestions too and am going to think of how to incorporate them into the "tablescape" a la Sandra Lee :D .

The minnie mouse I posted is an antenna ball, so it's all 3-D.

I LOVE your idea for the autographed photos - very cute!!!
