Every time someone throws in their two cents worth, it just bumps her thread up to the top again. Which means her comments stay very active. Why not just let her fade into the past as quickly and quietly as possible.

And...please don't be too mad at me for this post but feel free to comment if you disagree.

I agree. And I've been part of the problem, I'm sure. I'm coming to the defense of someone I consider a friend (emily), and I know it just adds fuel to the fire. I apologize.

I agree. I feel stupid for trying to defray tension by saying how the diet is useful in some situations. But NOT as stupid as if would have claimed to be knowledgeable about nutrition and spelled triglyceride "triglycerite"!

O.k. that was ugly, especially since I am the worst speller in America.

Let me just say that I am encouraged by the responses by the BBers! I couldn't have said things better myself.

Ignoring her is the best thing we can do. I visit several other BB's and some of them can get VERY ugly. Bantering with her won't work as I have seen other places. Ignoring her posts will at least make them go away. Won't stop her from posting, but at least she will be ignored.

Just wanted to add that, while I appreciate this post and totally agree, replying in agreement to this post also keeps here name floating around on the board. If you agree, perhaps silence is the best message.
