Surprised no one else has posted the "news". I have no idea why I care. What a train wreck!

As ridiculous as they may be, and as noteworthy as the event may be given that they have lived their lives so publicly ... I fail to understand why you'd add a grin icon to this topic? Are you happy about it?

Well, Lisa numbers has no respect for the sanctity of marriage. Obviously!
Uh, maybe lighten up a little. There's a death pool on the bb for gosh sake.

This surprises me. I kinda thought leaving your pregnant girlfriend and hooking up with someone richer and famous was a healthy way to start a long, successful union!

Shocked shocked shocked -- I expected them to grow old together. :D
Yeah those two pieces of trash certainly took their vows seriously.

I think it's sad. It's sad that they procreated and now it's sad that those 2 children will be raised by what I can only guess will be feuding parents. It's really a shame for them. However, it seemed inevitable.

two pieces of trash
I think this is a terribly nasty comment. They are human beings. I hate to think that anyone would call someone else a piece of trash. :( I hate this term when referring to people.
Now, back to the regularly scheduled thread.

Shame, shame on you Lisanumbers. :p :p ;) Come on, is it really a surprise? Celebs are fair game anyway. If you don't want the publicity, don't become a celebrity. I do feel sorry for the 2 little ones who were brought into the world by this trainwreck of a relationship.

They are both vile and disgusting people -- about as trashy as one can get in terms of personal habits, tastes, talent and about anything else I judge people on.
You bet it was a nasty comment -- but not as nasty as the one you decided to post reprimanding me -- droll. :D

Well Britney is a product of her upbringing and I don't think her parents did her any favors by keeping her out of school and putting her on the child star track.
It's no wonder she craved being a wife with kids and fell for the first schmuck that came along.
Hopefully she's learned something from all this
I don't know much about K-Fed except for the segments I see on the Soup. He didn't strike me a s a winner.

Ditto! Anyone who would do this sounds like trash to me. I do feel badly for the two little boys. But then again, there is $$$ to hire a nanny. :o

It's about time that she came to her senses.....although she will never get her image back!! She now will be considered trash for the rest of her days. :(

Hmm -- Will JM swoop back in and hurl some invectives at Lauren and MOmof3 for describing those high class individuals as trash -- or was it a selective tongue lashing -- and the election results aren't even in. :D :D

Oh, I don't know. Lots of people have done foolish things as a teen/young adult and moved on. If she puts her mind to it, she could turn things around for herself and her boys. It is unfortunate that she didn't have better role models and people looking out for her best interest when she was younger. The question is whether or not she sees any problem with her past up to now (other than her choice in husband(s)). If not, the drama will continue.... :(

I just got in and read on the CNN website about this turn of events - the first thought that pops into my head: I wonder if the CL board is all over this? You didn't disappoint. :D
My .02: no big surprise, but I'm always sorry to hear of children bearing the brunt of the life decisions of two so-called "adults" who cannot get their respective acts together. At least these two boys have plenty of half-siblings to split the cost of therapy with 20 years from now.
Frankly, I think a valid point has been made regarding Britney's probable longing for a 'normal' family life after the not-so-normal childhood she had. Sometimes you crave a thing so badly you try to make something fit. No violins for her, just an observation.

Not surprising and inevitable and always sad when children are brought into it...but she will get her image back, she actually looked good on Letterman Monday night.

Okay, I hate that I pay any attention to celebrity gossip, but I do. :o ;) I was listening to the radio this morning and they were saying, according to an insider source, that the divorce is not actually going to happen. That Britney just filed in an attempt to "scare" Kevin straight, and that they're already back together.
I really hope this isn't just a ploy. If you're going to do something, you should do it. Divorce should not just be a game...

I wasn't being selective with my comment that I think it was/is terrible to call someone trash. Everyone comes from a different place....everyone has had a different upbringing....some of us were truly blessed to raised in families a little more normal than others. We are all God's children and I am sure that HE doesn't look down on this good earth and think of anyone as trash nor should we. I really think if a true snob looked at you and called you trash you would be hurt, so why on earth would anyone do this to another person?
I feel sorry for those who don't have what I do. If you all want to call them trash, it sure doesn't make you sound like you are nay better a person than the person that you are speaking of. It is harsh and vulgar, no matter what you say.
But that is just my opinion.
