I am looking for suggestions for easy to read dress watches.
My Timex Indiglo watch, which I can read without my glasses, is very satisfactory for casual wear.
I would like to have a more appropriate watch for business and dressy wear that is also easy to read. I prefer a gold or goldtone analog watch with a metal (preferably expansion) band. For readability, the face needs to be white with black numbers. Timex's Indiglo feature (face lights up when the button is pushed) is handy but not required.
I have located another Timex, #2H501, which will work. It is described as Easy Reader Goldtone Extra Long Expansion Watch with 3 year battery, good to 30 meters underwater, Indiglo. I don't need the extra long expansion band, but I'm sure I can have some of the segments removed.
My hesitation revolves around the undeniable fact that I would love to have a more upscale watch. (Not thousands of dollars, perhaps $100 -- $300.) Snobbish, I know, but for many years I had a Seiko that I dearly loved. Now, I can no more read it without my glasses than I could fly to the moon. I found a Donna Karen that was readable, but the band is fussier than I care for. (I prefer simple things.) Other than that, I have not found anything in stores or the Internet other than the 2H501 that is even close.
Ideas?
Thanks!
Kay
