This is wonderful. And so timely, right after the election. We don't care whether this guy voted Democrat or Republican . . . who cares about his skin color, religion, ethnic background, left vs. right leanings, pro- this or anti- that . . . he's a hero, willing to put his life on the line for our freedoms. And that little child's as well.

Thank you for adding these, Lisa. I think about the attention that certain people in the world get who just don't deserve it.
Yet, here is a guy who didn't do any of this for attention, just from the goodness of his heart and deserves all the praise and attention in the world for it.

There are so many good, compassionate people out there on all sides of the conflicts that occur in today's world. They think only of comforting and helping others. Too bad those stories, pictures and people aren't in the center of reported "news" more often. So much seems to always be focused on the bad.
