Glad you like it... Like I said, I found that it definitely shows results after doing it a few times a week for about 6 weeks.

Plus, I think I read or heard somewhere recently that the "core" muscles you are working are such major muscles that, as you build them, they burn lots of calories even when you're not working out!! Just something that motivates me to keep up with pilates (and most other weightlifting, too)... http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Which pilates tape did you get? I got the Denise Austin pilates tape from Amazon in the mail today. Can't wait to try it this weekend. Let me know how it goes.

Hi! Just thought I'd report that I just got my Pilates tape from Amazon. I immediately did the first 20 minute workout. It was more challanging on the stomach muscles that I had expected. I was able to do most of them tho'. I'll let you know how those muscles feel in the next couple of days http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif. It's really sad how non-flexable I am. The new yoga class at work starts in a few months so I'll probably attack that as well.

Thanks mightyh for the recommendation!

Oops - I meant to be specific. Yes, the Denise Austin one. We must have ordered ours the same day.

My stomach is quite sore today. Yea! I saw on another thread where someone mentioned that the person on a tape pushed them to do x number of reps in x amount of time. This tape doesn't do that. She gives you hints on how to make it easier and encourages you to go slower if you need to. She stresses form over # of reps.

It cracked me up tho' that she kept saying that we could bend our legs if we wanted (to make it easier). If I want to! I can't do it any other way! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

hlao23-

I've been using the Denise Austin Pilates tape for months and it really is great. The second portion of the tape is more yoga with some Pilates included, but it's a great way to finish off the day. And stick with it, it does get easier.
