20 yr high school reunion- what to wear?

I have my 20 year HS reunion coming up in 2 weeks and I need suggestions as to what I should wear. I'd like to wear a dress. Not too formal but not too casual either. I figure everyone wears black. I like to wear black but I don't want to be like most. Though I will consider it, if it's the right dress! I love red, but I don't want to draw too much attention to myself. Help! I'm 5'7 and wear a size 6 or 8, depending on cut. Suggestions and pictures would be most appreciated. It's only 2 days after Thanksgiving, an empire waist might not be a bad idea. Please, let it roll!
