View Full Version : I need help finding a grocery item online

My grandma and my mom have always used Kellogg's Croutettes as their stuffing base--it's just herbed bread cubes, essentially. I know, I could just make my own herbed bread cubes, but there is something about this familiar taste. And of course, pepperidge farm and (personally--ick) stove top is not going to work.

For the past few years it has been harder and harder to find locally. I know the packaging changed from cardboard boxes to plastic bags in the past few years, but maybe the product is simply not retailed anymore? The Kelloggs site lists it as if they still make it, so I imagine there must be SOME way to buy it. But, all of the things I would normally do to try to locate it are not panning out.

So, any advice about how I can track down this item?
Has anyone seen it in a grocery chain that is in MI? (Meijer, Walmart are very nearby) But I don't mind ordering it online either, if there are any sources.

Thanks for any help! Tiffani

Is this it? It's in a box still. I'd contact them and ask who has it in your area.

Edited to add the link - type your zip code and they will tell you who sells it.

It shows Jewel Osco as the only retailer in my area in a 40 mile radius.

Thanks--yes, that's it on the right. I followed those links and called the retailers listed and neither have any in their stores. They both said they don't carry it and wondered why their stores were listed. I tried amazon grocery too, no luck. And Meijer online, no luck there either. Any other thoughts? Has anyone seen it on a grocery shelf lately?

That's too bad. I don't buy it so I've never seen it. Sorry. I'd call Kelloggs and find out who they have shipped it to in your area. It might even be in a mom and pop type of store.

The site says that the Albertson's store right around the corner from me sells it. If you have no luck, i'll be happy to stop and look and if they have it, buy it and send it to you!

What about Kroger? If you have one. Don't you have D&W stores over there too?

I was in Jewel today and checked for you. I only saw the Kellogg's crumbs in the bread section, but not the stuffing mix. In another area of the store, they had a large display of stuffing mixes that included PF and Brownberry only. Sorry.
