My husband is looking for bar soap that smells something like the Old Spice High Endurance Body Wash in Pure Sport fragrance. He doesn't like the body wash form, wants a bar of soap. Does anybody know if there is a bar soap that might appeal to a picky man? :p

This is not helpful at all, but the first thing that came to mind was those old soap-on-a-ropes that Avon used to sell in the 70s. :p

My DH uses Burt's Bees Citrus Spice Exfoliating Soap (http://www.burtsbees.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10751&storeId=10101&productId=13471&langId=-1&categoryId=&showSubCategory=yes) . It smells great! :)

I have started using Melaluca products because of the environmental aspec. They have a bar soap that smells nice and is tender to the skin. MY DH has started using that and it makes shaving much easier and his skin softer.

I'm not familiar with that Old Spice scent, but Crabtree & Evelyn has some great manly-man smelling scents that come in bar soaps. My DH is a fan of their "Nomad" scent - he uses the shaving products, but they do make it in a bar/bath soap as well.

Thanks! I do buy Melaleuca soaps and can't understand why he doesn't like the Platinum bar. The Gold Bar is too scented, so I understand that one.

I want to try the Burt's Bees and Crabtree and Evelyn. I used the seashell soap from C&E for years. I think he would be really surprised at how much those soaps cost, but what he doesn't know won't hurt him, right?

Another vote for Irish Spring. That's what my brother uses or so he tells me.

My DH uses plain ole Ivory soap. He has turned up his nose at everything else I've ever tried to give him, so I've given up.

Caswell-Massey has a nice line of men's soaps too.

It's Dove Sensitive Skin soap for me. I love the fragranced soaps, but my skin won't tolerate them.

as a guy, my vote goes for 'irish spring - micro-clean'. very nice. (not old spice scent though.) try a bar and see if he likes it. i understand men aren't as picky about some things, we are creatures of habit once we find something we like. some scents are just too much, or aren't right for us.

Can't speak from experience, but there are some interesting bars of soap at Lush (http://usa.lush.com/cgi-bin/lushdb/catzoom.html?mv_arg=formen&expand=formen). You could always check the forums for suggestions for "manly-man" soaps. :)

my DH won't part with his Irish Spring. Seems like the key with mens grooming products is cheaper = better, or maybe my DH is gloriously low maintinance!
