Just wanted to let you all know that I tried Kashi Go Lean this morning for the first time and I'm totally hooked! It is great and so healthy. Topped with soy milk I am well on my way to the recommended 25 gr. of soy protein per day. Thanks for turning me on to this cereal.

Hka~ Hhhmm... How do I describe the Kashi Go Lean Crunch?

I've actually not had any other Kashi cereals, so I have nothing to compare it to. It's sort of flaky, but definitely rough flakes, and very tasty. Maybe I'll to try another Kashi cereal so that I can give you a better description. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif Oh, but the Crunch is so good!

I have only had the Kashi Go Lean and the Kashi Good Friends. I actually like the Go Lean a little better. It has smaller pieces than the Good Friends and is a little bit sweeter. I think that is because it has some of the puffed kashi in it. I like both, but I usually put a little bit of Equal in the Good Friends.

I really like the Kashi Go Lean, too... great source of soy and fiber! BUT, it is pretty low in vitamins/minerals... so on the days I have it for breakfast, I am sure to take a multi vitamin.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to pick up some Kashi Go Lean and give it a try. I like the From Kashi to Good Friends because it's high in fiber. It sounds as if Kashi Go Lean is also high in fiber. Perfect!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I like the Kashi Go Lean too! I looked at the store last night and couldn't find the Kashi Go Lean Crunch. They had the puffed Kashi and the To Good Friends, but no Crunch that I could find. Is it new?

Another cereal that I really like is called Flax Plus. It is by a company called Lifestream. I find it in the grocery store by the other "health food" cereals, like the Kashi ones. It is a flake cereal with a nice nutty, flaxseed taste. It is fairly high in fiber (I think 5 g / serving), plus it has those healthy Omega 3's from the flaxseed. I usually mix the Flax Plus and the Kashi Go Lean for breakfast.

Becky, hopefully this won't start yet another Trader Joe's riot, but the only place I buy cereal is at Trader Joe's. I haven't looked for Kashi cereals anywhere else, and I really don't know if it's new or not.

The Go Lean Crunch has flakes and some puffed kashi in it, too. It also is a little sweet, and doesn't require any sweetener. I'm out of it right now, so can't provide nutritional info. To be honest, I haven't really looked. I figure it's better for me than the stuff I used to eat! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif

Krista,

Thanks for the info about where you've been getting the "Crunch" cereal. Unfortunately I don't know of a Trader Joe's around here. I've been buying my Kashi cereal at a new Kroger in my neighborhood that has a health food section. But we also have a Wild Oats (clear across town), so I'll check next time I'm there. That cereal sounds great!

Becky,

We don't have a Wild Oats here, but from other things I've read about it, it seems like the type of place that might have it.

Good luck in your quest!

My new favorite breakfast is f/f vanilla yogurt in which I mix Kashi Go Lean & either sliced strawberries or a chopped apple. Delicious & filling thanks to all that fiber!
