Our sweet baby-girl cat is driving me insane. Not only are we spending more money than we should, but it pains me to have to keep dragging her to the vet (she is on the neurotic end I fear).
She must have fallen out of a tree right before we left for vacation and I spotted the cut immediately when I arrived. The vet cleaned it and did a weave stitching...one way first layer, a second direction the top layer. She chewed it.
We took her back and he put in FIVE staples.
I've been having her sleep with me and ignoring my allergies for her sake. She doesn't MOVE when she's in bed with me and sleeps soundly. She went down to use her litter box around 5:30 this morning and when I looked at her at 6 (and the sad thing is she is finally chirping, jumping, wagging her tail and happy), she has 1 staple left and 1 dangling (heaven help me if she's swallowed any of the others  :( ).
She flings herself and rips those collar things off and she obviously ignores the "bitter apple" stuff we spray to keep her from touching it.
Any other thoughts? I'm at wits (and financial) end here!!
Editing to add that I have tried the "cat-prozac" Rx by vet, but she chews on it even more..as if she is fearless.
TIA for any help.
