Made this tonight, and my husband and I (along with our 3-year-old who generally doesn't do meat) thought it was very good. Definitely a repeater. I do have another recipe for a pork tenderloin marinade that I just love, but it's nice to have found a tasty alternate.

My husband and I also thought it was very good. I love pork tenderloin and this recipe has a definite Oriental taste with the hoisin sauce in the sauce.

My husband and I enjoyed it as well, the jury is still out on the flavor of 5 spice powder, though. Our first bites were "interesting" but after a few turned to " better". Will try again! Lchiles

Deppie, I know I am not Beth and I know I have posted this recipe before, but I just love it and can't help but to post it again. It is just wonderful.

Minted-Molasses Pork Tenderloin

2 (1-pound) pork tenderloins
1/3 cup molasses
¼ cup minced fresh mint
1 tablespoon peeled grated fresh ginger
3 tablespoon low-salt soy sauce
3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons water
2 cloves garlic – minced
Cooking Spray

1. Trim fat from pork.
2. Combine molasses and next 6 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag. Add pork to bag; seal and marinate in refrigerator 8 hours, turning bag occasionally. Remove pork from bag, reserving marinade. Insert meat thermometer into thickest portion of 1 tenderloin.
3. Prepare grill. Place pork on grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill 20 minutes or until thermometer registers 160 degrees (slightly pink), turning and basting occasionally with reserve marinade.

Makes 8 servings (serving size: 3 oz)

Hi Deppie --
It really is Beth this time http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif and the recipe follows. I hope you enjoy it. I got it from a good friend named Sheila, so I named it Sheila's Pork Tenderloin.

Hi Mhami --
Thanks for posting your recipe. I'll definitely give it a try -- it looks great!

Sheila's Pork Tenderloin

2 Tablespoons soy sauce
2 Tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 Tablespoons dry sherry
1 Tablespoon light brown sugar
1 Tablespoon peanut oil
1 1/2 teaspoons honey
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pound pork tenderloin

Combine first eight ingredients, place in zip-top plastic bag with pork. Marinate for eight hours in refrigerator.

Remove pork from marinade; discard marinade (or see note to use as a sauce). Grill six inches from coals, or place under preheated broiler for about 35 minutes or until done (160 degrees).

NOTES : Sheila quadruples this marinade for a standard pork tenderloin package (2 pounds) and freezes it in the marinade. To use marinade as a sauce, boil it for ten minutes, or make a fresh batch that does not come in contact with the raw pork.

FYI - I tried the recipe for Sheila's Pork Tenderloin last night and we loved it!! Thank you BethR for sharing it. Next, I am planning to try Mhami's Minted-Molasses Pork Tenderloin...

I'm going to have to come up with a good system for permanently keeping all of these good recipes organized....Don't want to lose them!
