Susan posted on the Great Foods board today that she's still waiting. She hasn't posted here because she hasn't been able to get on with all the bulletin board wierdness. Thought you'ld like to know.

I'm thinking we may have a new baby........
Apparently she just went ahead and IGNORED my suggestion that she assign an alternate poster for herself.
Geesh, you pregnant ladies...so selfish. LOL

Ah!! I can post!! Look- it's working!! I better post quickly!
Okay, here's the lowdown- we're still waiting and my boss has allowed me to work from home until the baby arrives. I am really getting ready for this, too. It is getting quite uncomfortable lately. I was okay into the 8th month, but this month is getting difficult. We finished our lamaze classes and only have the hospital tour left next Tuesday. My doctors are telling me that I should have an easy time with labor (bless them!) because I am almost completely effaced now. That will make my contractions much more productive when labor finally comes. I sure hope they're right. I am still 1-2 cm dilated for now, but my actual due date is the 25th, so it's still a little early.
The baby's room is all ready. We got our chair a few days ago. I go in there and sit and I get so emotional just thinking about this little baby and what it's going to be like to use all the baby things we've been staring at for 2 months. I can't even imagine what it'll be like.
So- to all you moms out there- Happy Mother's Day!!!!! I think I finally understand!

Happy mothers day to Susann Mrs Reber, MB and all the others that are moms and moms to be. Many blessings and enjoy your day!
it's funny because we are SO close to being mothers, yet we have to wait until next year to officially celebrate Mother's Day. meanwhile, MrsReber's DH (and hopefully my DH also) will be able to really have Father's Day this year!
i've got about 5 weeks to go, and things are moving along smoothly, i suppose. some people are joking that maybe i will be a mother by sunday, but i don't think it's particularly funny, as i'd like the baby to 'bake' for as long as possible! i think there's more of a chance of MrsReber being a mom by Sunday... actually, our baby's due date is Father's Day - that might be a good 1st Father's Day gift for my DH! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there (especially new-mommie-SusanD)! I think you definitely deserve at least one day each year to be honored for everything you went through with 9 months of pregnancy, labor, delivery, and everything thereafter! I never thought of it that way before, but now that i'm going through it myself, i've had a change of theory!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

MrsReber...
Just wait until the first time you hold your little baby in your arms and look into his/her eyes...it will be the most incredible moment in your life! (Just remember it during the all-night feeding sessions!) http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif
Happy Mother's Day to everyone!!!!!!!!!

I also felt kind of cheated the Mother's Day before my DD was born (her bday is June 8). My Dh was so nice, he went out and detailed my Rodeo for me for my unofficial first M'Day.
Since she was born so close to F'Day, all he got was a card since I wasn't really up to shopping or cooking!
This year he is gone for M'Day so its just me and DD to celebrate (won't be much since she is only almost 2 LOL)!
