Okay, this morning cute gym guy talked me into signing up for the Race for a Cure Relay being run today and tomorrow. It's a 24 hr team relay 5K Walk/Run. Not surprisingly, the team was hurting for early morning participants, so I signed DH and myself up for the 4-5 am slot. DH will be just so surprised when he finds out http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif
Cute gym guy won me over when he told me they keep the track lit with candles for the late night/early morning runners.
To be honest, it is HIGHLY unlikely that I will be running. I am a morning person, but not so hardcore that I will run my first 5K before the roosters are even awake. So, we've got a very busy day tomorrow and it's a nice way to get our exercise in.
You all are my inspiration! Two months I would not have thought to do this- thank you!!

That's really cool, Julie!
But if you run it, you'll be finished a whole lot sooner! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif

Hey, Julie,
Great job and good luck!... I am hoping to do one too, after about 3 months of running, I think....

More power to you, Julie! I'm not quite sure what my DH would say if I presented him with a 5K at 5 in the morning tomorrow. Can't wait to hear how it goes!

Wow! I don't know who impresses me more...you or your DH! I would like to say I will be thinking about you but I honestly hope I am still sleeping at that hour. Still it is a great cause and "cute gym guy" or not, I think it is great. Go Julie Go!!!!

Have a great 5K Julie! I'm sure you'll do well, and you'll feel so great when you've accomplished it -- whether you run or walk.

Best of luck, Julie. So, for a 4 am race, do you go to bed, or just stay up until 3:30 when you have to leave your house? Hmmm...I'm already sleepy at 9:30; I guess I've answered my own question: get a good night's sleep and tell us how it went!!!
Wow!!!! Good luck to you, Julie!!! At least it will be a nice time, not hot, but ugh!!! I wake up weekdays at 4:30 a.m. only so I dont have to rush around. Let us know how it went

Thanks, everyone for the well wishes! We just drove by the track on the way home from the movies and it was totally inspiring to see so many people walking, running, just being there. I'm setting the alarm for 3:00 and I'm headed to bed in a few minutes.
DH thought I was kidding when I told him, but he promises to be there!
