Oh it's going to be a struggle today. I've got a monster headache and nothing to take for it, got in a huge fight with my BF last night...and we are soooo SLOOOOWW at work right now. It's cold out but we never got the snow that was supposed to let me stay home today. Don't know how I'm going to get through today...every. minute. is. dragging.
Any other whiners today?

I'm pretty good at whining, and I have stuff to whine about, but won't that just make your headache worse? ;)
So I'll just send good vibes for a better day for you.
Oh - and it's Friday! That should be something to cheer you up?

I'm not whining -- I just popped in to say that I hope your day goes better than you think it will, and that you feel better soon... :)

For once, no, no need to whine today. Except, maybe for the fact that I'm 11 days short of having any leave and really would have liked to take today off to go ski in our powder. But I know how it feels to feel like crap and have nothing productive to do. Hey, at least you can catch up on your board reading. ;) :p

I could SO join in this one....
rollback 48 hours ago - it was 85 degrees in Houston and my A/C quit working - that night was hot as heck and I didn't sleep well. I put in a claim with my warranty co.
rollback 24 hours ago - A/c people call to schedule a visit for today (friday) between 11am- 3pm. Great - my work Christmas lunch is at 1:30pm today so odds of me going are slim. Plus, I get home last night to 40 degree temps since a front came thourgh yesterday and the heater won't come on either!!!! It was a VERY cold night here.
rollback 2 hours and 45 minutes ago - My car is dead. Ugh. Had to get DD a ride to school. I drive a company car so it's a beaurocratic nightmare to get my car into the shop and get a rental. Meanwhile...the A/C and heat problem turns out to be my fault as I accidentally turned off a switch in the attic that controls their power when I meant to just turn off the attic light. So, although one problem is solved....there's still one to go!!!
WAAAAAAH!

What you need is a song in your head!!!
Here's the story,
of a man named Brady . . .
:D
(OK; if that didn't help, then fall back on "it's Friday!" and you might feel better. Hope you and BF make up soon!)

Oh boy, I totally feel your pain. This weather has made my head hurt and it's always the worst with storms. I never leave home without any Aleve. I have some even in my glove box. I'd check around to see if anyone has anything for you to take. Someone must have something.
I wasn't whining until I found out my son's basketball game is still on for tonight. It's a good hour away in good weather, so I'm not all that thrilled to go. It's a tournament so we have games Sat. and Sun. too.

Worked for me, too. The wooden chair in #18 caught my eye. It looks like the set of 6 I've been trying to sell through Skinners Auction house. I inherited the chairs and my Mom always told me they were so valuable. As they weren't what I wanted, and I got new dining room furniture, I'm trying to sell the chairs. Skinner estimated them to be maple and ash, second quarter 19th century, from PA.
So, they've been in two auctions without a buyer. :( Moral of the story: things are only worth what some one else is willing to pay ... and don't count your chickens before they hatch! :p

Tracked down some ibuprophen and the headache has eased back a little. Still a BORING day though. What the heck am I gonna do for the next 4 hours?

Write letters to go in your Christmas cards?
Put together your budget of what you have spent on whom for Christmas, who you have left to buy for?
Figure out how many bags of sugar, etc, you need to buy in order to make 24 mason jars of Sandcastle brownies mix, 12 pint size mason jars of Moccacino Magic mix, and 6 pint size mason jars of Good Doggy Treats mix?
Write out the check for doggie day care?
Balance your checkbook?
Do a search on mononucleosis because your boss' child has it and you are curious?
unfortunately, i can't do any of those things myself right now. Feel free to pick and choose. ;)

I'm happy your headache is a bit better.
If you want to browse a website, there's www.rubylane.com They have antiques, collectibles and jewelry. It's fun to browse.
Peweh, I saw your photos, too. I'm interested in the Breakfast at Tiffany's record and frame. I have a friend that would love that for Christmas.
My FIL used to be a glass cutter when he was a teen in WVA. He's been looking for the old handmade window pane glass. I haven't been able to find any for him. If you ever come across some, please let me know. I'd love to buy an old window sash and do something cool with it for Christmas or his birthday.
