I am going to shop for some new ones, and need a pretty "sturdy" one, as I embark on my run/walk program..
I previously had been doing less "bouncy" stuff..so wore lighter duty sports bras.
Any recommendations from you guys on the best for bouncing? I am not flat chested.

http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif I'm a 36C. I love the Moving Comfort bras and tanks- I wear one of each while running and they hold me down really well. I also have a NIKE bra that I really like for more active endeavors.

I'm not crazy about the uniboob look, though. Try looking for bras that have separate cups- those are best for more well-endowed women. Typically they will hook in back.

I have just found that wearing a tight, lycra tank over my bra provides the best support, rather than just a bra and tee shirt. Plus, it makes me look buff. that's key, you know. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Not only is the uniboob look unattractive, the feel of sweat dripping down your cleavage isn't particularly pleasing either. Eeewwwww! I've been having that problem lately and am planning to look for some new sports bras. Thanks for the recommendation on bras with separate cups. Do they make them in smaller sizes too? I'm not as much concerned with heavy-duty support as I am with that nasty sweat problem.

I love the ones that zip up the front. They look kind of lumpy under a t-shirt, but they are much easier to put on! I'll have to look for the ones that hook in the back too. I really think that mine is too tight! I breathe easier without it, but as a "saggy C", it's a must! Sweat is bad, but swinging and jiggling when you work out is even worse!

I also love Moving Comfort -- their sportsbras are great, and I especially love the full-body sports bra tops. I just bought two really cute ones from Nike, they're V-necked and close-fitting -- only problem is that they don't really offer enough support for running (and I'm only a 32 B), so I wear a Champion Jogbra underneath. I also have a really cute one from Patagonia that I like; the straps form a V in the back, and it's mesh on the inside, so it wicks away the boob sweat (Eva, you mean that bothers you??? http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/tongue.gif ).
Anyway, those are my favorites.

Kim, well, I used to order workout gear from Lucy.com, which was this incredible on-line women's sportswear site out of Portland, OR. I believe they have now gone out of business- one of the latest dotcom tragedies.

Since then I've been at a bit of a loss, as I live in a no-mall area. Moving Comfort is pretty widely distributed, though. I'd think any women's sports store would carry some varieties. Certainly NIKE and Champion, as well.

This isn't going to help you at all, I'm afraid. Last month while in Davis, CA on business I found an awesome women's sports store and went a little crazy. I stocked up since I found exactly what I have been looking for and don't know when I will again. I finally decided that $35-40/bra was worth it.

What Emily said about the full body sports bra tops is what I mean about the tight, lycra tank thing- she just said it better! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif I can get away with wearing just a bra-top for yoga, but unless I want my boobs bouncing up to my nose I have to wear a jog-bra as well for other more strenous activities. (oh, not only is that image frightening, it's painful

<sigh>

Is there no hope for us full-figured (36-D) gals? I used to pray for that perfect 34-B, but once I hit 35 (a bit early - for most it's 40) I figured, hey, I have what I have, and there's nothing I can do about it.

I don't think I could be a runner......I might hurt myself or others around me..... http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

If I dont happen to have a bra on, it hurts just going down the stairs in the am!

ps...there was a bra model (36d on Oprah...she wears a bra to sleep to help keep everything "up"

You might also check Title Nine Sports for a great selection of sports bras and exercise wear in general for women. They're online and mail order, which is why I've never ordered from them before -- I've got to be able to try on my stuff first. But if I ever find anything that I like enough to stick with for a while, I would check them out.

Oh, I must second Title Nine -- they have an incredible selection of all women's athletic gear, and the service is wonderful.
Also, www.athleta.com (http://www.athleta.com) is a great source.

Not long ago, I need a bunch of sports bras, but I was unwilling to pay $40 for each of them, and even though I know I should, I just couldn't do it. Anyways, I bought 1 expensive one, and some I found at gear.com, Now it is www.overstock.com (http://www.overstock.com) which has really cheap prices, and sometimes they have free shipping! Now, I can tell that they were a little less expensive, but for me, they have worked great. I bought a windbreaker from them that ended up being to big and I returned it with no problem.

good morning all. I am a double bagger. i have got 38DD's. I never could find a sports bra that made me feel secure. I have for the past few years just used a minimizer with no underwire and a inexpensive tight sports bra.
(the kind you just slip over your head) Some folks may find this uncomfortable and very tight. i love it having those twins squashed so much i don't even know they are there!
