I am normally never on this board but just happened on it today.
I did a search for Curves and found your post and no responses. That really surprised me! I have been going to Curves for about 3 months now and really enjoy it. It's a great cardiovasclar workout.
I walk too. Also do a lot of gardening so I keep pretty active.

Kima,
It is called Curves for Women and it is a franchise for weight loss and a cardiovascular workout. I am not sure if they are all around the country but if they aren't they probably will be.
It only takes 30 minutes and every 30 seconds you change to something different so it is not boring. Plus you exercise to good fast music.
At the Curves I go to we have a great variety of women going from all extremes. Some of the young ones are so physically fit you think "what the heck do they need this for?" Their are a couple that are aerobic instructors. Then we have some really older women even in their 70's. All sizes and shapes too and I mean really!!! Everyone gets along so well and the chatter is continous so your 30 minutes is up before you know it. Also this is not an organized exercise class so you can go in at any time that it is convenient for you and just jump..
right in.
They do have a website. I was on it once looking for locations. Let's see if this is it. www.curvesforwomen.com (http://www.curvesforwomen.com)
