Ok, I know those of you in the North and Midwest will laugh, but 27 is stinkin COLD! Especially since it was in the 80's earlier in the week. Sheesh!
I had to laugh at myself this morning. After I drop the kids off, I drive home facing east, and I always feel the need to clean off the windshield (since the sun makes it glaringly obvious that there is all manner of bird poop and crepe myrtle gunk on there). Today I pushed the button for the squirty stuff, and it immediately froze all over the windshield, making it impossible to see anything! Ah - the ignorance of those in warm weather climates... ;) :D

Leigh,
I think you're in North Texas, so you are colder than we are down in Houston today, but yes....brrrrrrrr!!! It is odd to be in the lkow 70's one day and highs in the 40's the next! But, you know what they say about Houston weather - if you don't like it just wait ten minutes, it'll change! =)
I am actually enjoying the cold since I'm out and about all day for work - I'll take this over 100's ANYDAY!!! But I'm glad I don't have to deal with snow!

The best part about Texas cold is all the idiots who drive 45 on the sleet. I've seen some of these hotdoggers on an icy day, and just wonder why they think they're immortal? :)
I'm freezing, too! The sunrise was beautiful this morning, but any temperature with a 2 in the beginning of it is pretty hard to take for those of us who are used to wearing T-shirts. I'm with ya!

You know, part of why it feels so cold there is because of the humidity. I lived in Norther Virginia for 3 winters and I've never felt colder at about 20 degrees. Here in Colorado it can be 0 degrees and I feel warmer. It's still really cold but doesn't chill to the bone like the humid cold does.

Hm. Last night it was minus 10 Celsius, minus 15 with the wind chill. I left my MP3 player in the car as I was out at a party last night, and when I came back and thoughtlessly turned it on, the poor little frozen thing got a disk error and I thought I'd killed it. And it's snowing up a storm right now, besides being freezing and drafty even inside.
Yeah. Not so much with the floods of sympathy for people in Texas. :D :p

Well, they think their cars will make it through a flooded intersection!
I also love this weather, having been raised in Chicago (and not missing the bitter cold winters)!;) Not lookin' for sympathy here in Central Texas!:p

I got excited this morning when they said the high was going to be in the 20*s today! :D
We've just come off of three days of single digit temps with negative windchills. My dogs didn't even want to stay outside!

Woke to 15 degrees and up to 21 now, with a wind that has my chimes hanging horizontally. I am so glad I bought the down comforter this season; I hide under it for an extra hour on mornings like this. My new wood burning insert has been working overtime, too!
I used to love Winter and cold, but age has certainly changed my tolerance for it. Snow, though...now, that would be welcome!

Amen to that sister! I figured it was 30 degrees warmer today straight air temp than yesterday coming in to work and it was only 11 today. Almost left my hat at home:D

Well, that's not Boca today. It's 62 and we are having liquid snow.

Hehe, it'll be 60 here today and we're talking about the heat wave. The different perspectives on temp just crack me up. I do like the liquid snow comment though. :p Really though, this is why I love Colorado, we'll have days with highs in the 20s and then swing all the way up to the mid 60s 2 days later.

In Boston now at noon it is 21 and 6 if you factor in the windchill. Yesterday it was at least the high 50's... maybe even low 60's and we are supposed to be back to 50's by Sunday.

I used to live in Buffalo NY, and I must admit to laughing at myself when I think it's cold in Alabama, and it's still above freezing!:p Hopefully, snow is NOT going to visit us this year -- That's one of the reasons to live in Alabama!;)

Oh, man! First it was, "It's not the heat---it's the humidity." Now it's, "It's not the cold---it's the humidity" too? Geeeeeze....

I'm driving to IL next weekend for the holidays. Gigi and I have our big winter coats all ready. Brrrrr.
But it is good to be reminded why I moved to So. Cal.

Yikes! I'm headed to Duluth in a few days....good thing it's been "cold" in Texas, so I'm kind of getting acclimated.
