I noticed a while back that Cooking Light's exercise model had a nice figure. I was surprised that they had an older (than model-age) woman with a more curvy, toned figure doing the exercises. I didn't know until this past issue that she was Gin Miller. She has a great body. She looks kind of short though -- I'm too long-limbed for that look, but she's a great inspiration, especially since she looks to be about 10 years older than I am.

Who's with me??

I'd have to agree that Cooking Light's model is a great inspiration. I was happy to see that they didn't use the standard model -- very young, too skinny, and 6 foot tall.

Gin Miller, IMHO-is absolutely the best at what she does, and is such an inspiration to me and many others. CL is fortunate to have her, and I WISH I had her figure!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif Zinnia

One of the things I like about CL is that they always seem to use real people. The families and cooks featured also seem to be "normal"....you all know what I mean. None of the fitness magazines have real women in them.

Call me clueless...but I can't remember who Gin Miller is? Isn't she a fitness/aerobics guru?

Gin Miller is a contributor to CL and does 'Goodmoves'-a yearlong series designed to get you fit for life. You can visit the Goodmoves 2000 page here at CL. You can find each issues workout described in detail under the archive section, a bb where u can see other GM 2000 participants & Gin Miller, tips to keep you motivated and workout modifications for readers at more advanced fitness levels. She is the creator of step aerobics and a Reebok Master trainer.
Along with the great recipes in CL and the support from everyone on the BB, she has inspired me to get off my butt and get moving! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif Zinnia

I am an exercise physiologist and have been fortunate to meet Gin Miller several times at fitness conventions where she is presenting. In addition to her excellent, realistic physique, she has an amazing personality that connects with everyone! Her classes are always full of innovative and inspiring moves and ideas! For the record, she is quite short (probably around 5'4" or so).
