How's everyone doing? I know it's a busy time of year, and I had a lot of running around to do, so I went to the gym early and did 45 min on the treadmill. I am really liking the speed/incline interval workout:)

Anyone else out there?!

Hi, Sheila.....good job on the treadmill! I do those hills and intervals sometimes too. You get a lot of "bang for your buck" with that. :)

I did 45 minutes on the treadmill today, too, but just a jog (no hills). I also did yoga yesterday, so I'll report that too.

Who's next?

Late entry... Yesterday I did 30 minutes on the Nordic Track, but it is breaking down again. I guess my DH's "fix" was only temporary.:( Next week we are driving down to Sacramento to a Nordic Track dealer to try out the new models.

But, until then - How do you get a good aerobic workout when it is raining constantly for over 5 days straight and no end in sight?? We aren't members of a gym and I'm feeling house bound and sedentary already!!

Any tips or advice?

Peggy

Bummer, Peggy! :( Glad you got at least one more workout out of your machine before it gave out.

Do you get any exercise shows on TV? Fit TV has all kinds of programs throughout the morning, and I know there are a few other channels that have occasional shows.

Exercise tapes? Might be worth investing in one or two (or check your library) just to get you through until you replace your Nordick Track.

Do you have weights? I just use 3-10 lbs (when I use them!:o ) which you could do a couple of times a week. If you check CL's website, I'll bet they have some simple workouts since they feature one in every issue.

I know none of these is really satisfactory when you have your preferred mode of working out, but one of them might do for a week until you are back on "the track"!

Happy (and speedy!) shopping! :)

Thanks for the suggestions, Kathy!:) We don't subscribe to Cable TV so we only get a few stations. I guess this is one of those times when Cable would come in handy!! I think I may have a few VERY old Jane Fonda exercise videos that I may have to dust off and I do have some hand weights. I'll have to figure something out because this rain is going to continue and there is too much tempting food around.
