View Full Version : Why I am always surprised by people's stupidity?

So I'm sitting here at work this morning when suddenly there's this SMELL. It's really strong and really bad, like glue or nail polish remover. I complained about it right away (I'm pregnant, but pretty soon everyone was starting to complain). So the office manager investigates and finds a woman in an office near where I sit spray-painting with her door shut! She was making something for the office holiday party tomorrow. How stupid is that?? It's a wonder she didn't pass out in there, although I'm willing to bet she lost a few brain cells that she can't afford to lose...

We opened a bunch of windows and it's getting much better in here, but the odor traveled pretty much all through the building, and it's a pretty big place.

people are ridiculous! i found people using spray fix inside when i was in school "because it's too cold outside" and got them to stop when i showed them the label warning about causing birth defects and all sorts of other nasty things. that stuff is the worst smell in a can EVER!

I think some people really don't realize how dangerous fumes can be. A good friend of mine in college was a Fine Art major and ended up with some sort of chemical poisioning and to this day is very allergic to all sorts of things that wouldn't bother the rest of us (such as carpeting).

I remember being on a plane and the women in the row in front of me started doing her nails!! Hello????? You are in a small space and are now filling it with a putrid smell? Some people think they are the most important people in the world!!

Common sense just isn't so common anymore. I didn't know you were expecting - congrats!

My MIL's physician made a statement to DH the other day "You just can't teach common sense to someone that has none". Never a truer statement made.

How about the woman who has been banned from American Airlines flights because a week or two ago, she caused a plane to have to land early and in wrong city because of bomb/fire fears? People smelled smoke because . . . she was lighting matches to cover her flatulence.
