I visited one of my favorite antique guys today, he cleans out attics etc and gets lots of stuff just dropped off at his doorstop. So I see this bucket of old action figures, ask about it and he says $20 it's yours, wait I have another bucket, $25 for both.... SCORE!!

DH is a comic book junkie, I took these buckets home and sifted through and there is a whole set of WWF guys, remember Jimmy Snuka, Hulk Hogan, Rowdy Roddy Piper... plus original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, HeMan, SheRa, etc about 40 pieces in all.

DH is gonna be SO excited. I just had to share this before I implode trying not to tell him. I'm re-doing his office so it will be like a den where he can keep all his video game consoles & comic book stuff. I'm envisioning all the figures just displayed in a big glass jar or something but who knows he may have other plans for them.

Thanks for reading!!

I'm not sure, what does he look like? - there's 3 of the 6 WWF guys I don't recognize. One's face looks badly scarred and one has shorts that say "Ivan" (this may be the same guy, I don't have them in front of me now. Oh wait wasn't there like an Ivan the Terrible or something?

SheRa- LOL I immediately thought of you when I saw your namesake.

LMG - MUZZLE is the right word. He was approaching my Jeep last night and I truly yelped because the whole bucket was in clear view while the inside light was on. But the secret is safe.

Great find! The DSs and I were talking last night about all their toys from the 80s. DS#1 wasa total He-man freak and all his stuff is packed away. DS#2 was a Transformer nut (well all 3 were) and I'm fairly certain there's a box of them in the attic. DS#3 was late 80's so he was into Ninja Turtles (I once let him put Turtle ornaments on the tree and he's still asking about them 10 years later! ), Ghostbusters, and Power Rangers. I know I saved some of the Turtle stuff but probably not the others.

Should be great fun when we clear out the attic room this Spring!:p

the funny part is that i didn't even see the SheRa part at first, but after i posted my comment i was like, "WOAH!". hahah! i just happen to be a big video game/toy/comic book nerd myself, and the room you're redoing sounds so awesome! does he know you're redoing the room? and most importantly...will you be posting before and after pictures? :D

I will definitely post some After pictures! It's a little too late for Before, I stayed out of it for a few months (BAD memories of the Virtual Office job I quit in May) and when I went in to look for something, lo and behold, I discovered The Land Where Electronics Go To Die!! DH is also a packrat of all things technical to do with his job such as routers, switches, servers, keyboards, monitors and about 18 of every cable known to man. I think he's secretly supplying Radio Shack.

So no, it's not a surprise, since I need him to weed out all of this garbage first... but a video game/comic den is SURE incentive to get him cleaning! He even took the week after New Year's off to paint and BIL is helping too since school's out. I can't wait!!

Now I'm off to find a cool container to display these guys. I'm thinking the WWF ones can stand out on a shelf but the rest will look cool all jumbled together.

George the Animal had a very hair back, green tongue and was known for eating the turnbuckles.

IRL, he is Jim Myers, and coached my uncle in wrestling. His buddies, like the Iron Sheikh, used to come and play with the kids on the team. He's really cool - has a master's degree and everything!
