Does anybody have a total gym, if so are you pleased? I have an elipical machine which is good for an aerobic exercise but I need some weight training also.

We have one and we are happy with it (although I need to get back on track with it -- I do not enjoy weight/resistance exercise!). We did not buy the expensive one advertised on TV (over $1000). We got one at Dick's Sporting Goods for $200. It is not as stout as the one on TV but perfectly good for home use.

Grace and Gaye, did you see any results from using the total gym?

I have it and I love it, love it, love it. It also reminds me a lot of a Pilates machine, and I get an AWESOME stretch from it.

Judy, I have a bowflex; It's a pretty solid machine, and you can get a decent workout on it. You can do alot with just the basic, but there are also attachments you can buy to get more variety. It's also portable, which is one of the things I liked about it, b/c I can take it to clients homes when I train them.

djoygirl, we have a bowflex as well, but I cannot get into it. I think it is because I don't know the "routine" and after each exercise, its back to the book to figure out what to do next. How long have you used yours? We've had ours for almost a year now, and I have probably used it 8 times. We have the Power Pro and lat attachment.
