I received my TaeBo tapes from QVC and have done the workout twice already. Boy did I sweat!

I know that TaeBo has been mentioned a few times on this board in the past, so I would like to know if this is something you "Taebo-ers" are sticking with, or does it get old, fast. Also, what significant changes have you noticed in your body? Abs? Overall toning? Strength? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Funnybone,

Congratulations on your purchase! Those QVC tapes are a GREAT DEAL!

I am one of the tried 'n' true Tae Bo'ers! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif I have been doing Tae Bo every day for almost a year and a half. I have the QVC set of tapes as well as quite a few other (Tae Bo) tapes. I LOVE them!!! I have never gotten tired of them, or bored with them, and that makes Tae Bo the VERY FIRST and ONLY work-out I have EVER been able to stick with!

Results? Dramatic!!! Between Tae Bo and Cooking Light, I have lost 30 pounds and am maintaining at goal weight. Inches? LOTS. I feel so good about it.

My only suggestion would be to be sure to do the Basic videos first, and work up to the Advanced. I'm not sure the QVC package has an instructional video? That is very important, and part of the original pack I got at Walmart. If you don't have one, I strongly suggest getting one. (Maybe your local video store or library rents/loans it?) You can injure yourself if the moves are not done properly - and that would be such a downer!

Also, in some of the videos, he does swing his head side to side or back to front pretty fast, and my friend (who is a Physical Therapist) says NEVER do this!!! Do it slower and controlled.

Also, never fully extend your arms and legs for punches and kicks. And when you are "leaning back" on one bent leg, be sure your knee never extends out further than your toe.

Enjoy and have fun! And please keep us posted on your progress!

Lynn

Thanks for your positive feedback, Lynn. I am really enjoying this. I plan on doing one basic tape for a few weeks before I attempt the other one. I want to know the moves on this one before I go on further. I'm already feeling a difference in my arms and outer thighs. I never thought that was possible so soon.

I plan to do TaeBo in conjunction with my step aerobics. I will alernate days, but I will give this a month before I start alternating.

So far, its fun!
