we are having company for dinner tonight and after all of the great reviews on this bulletin board, i have decided to make the balsamic vinegar chicken with almond peppers from the june '00 issue.

my question - would it be ok to dredge the chicken in the flour and breadcrumb mixture a couple of hours before our guests arrive? i like to do as much as possible ahead of time and thought that might help.

I should think it would be fine. I've seen a few recipes that say the crust will adhere better if you do that, so it's worth a try. Good luck!
