Just wondering if anyone has started and needs members for a Seattle area dinner club? Or, if there is anyone out there who would like to start a Seattle dinner club - ?
I live in the Queen Anne neighborhood and would love to meet, get to know and get together with others in the Seattle area for cooking, dining and general fun.
Thanks for replies ~
PS - a little about me: I am a married, stay-home mom with a 3yr old. I like to be active but don't always manage it: love swimming, cycling, walking (hiking). I also love to read, learn to use my computer (oh I'm always learning!), take photos, write and of course cook.
Why a supper club?
Well, I don't often cook for myself and since my husband works constantly and my son is in that picky eating stage, I get to read all the scrumtious recipes in Cooking Light, but don't always have an opportunity to make them. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
Again, thanks!

Hi Kristen: There are several people in the Seattle area who would like to start a supper-club. Check out the Kirkland/Bellevue posting. I'm wondering if there should be two clubs - one to cover the Eastside and one to cover Seattle. By the way, I live on Magnolia so I'm close by. Let me know how I can help get something going.

Hi Kristin, if you look on the board, there is a posting for another Seattle based group with many replies. There is alos one for S. King county with few. Perhaps we could try and get some of the people from the other possting to join up with the smaller one. If we met once per month, a small drivewould not be so bad. I'm going to post on the larger board to and see what kind of feedback I get.
About me: My husband of 9mos. and I just moved here from San Diego. I travel during the week (1-2) nights so I don't get to cook as often as I wish! My hobbies are cooking of course, yoga, golfing, gardening, reading, and wine. I'm just starting to get into the Wa. lifestyle. In fact I'm going fishing tomorrow! I currently belong to a CL group, we are meeting for the first time tonight, but my husband and I would like to join another in order to meet people.
Here's to starting a group!

I am yet another Seattle-ite who would love to start/join a supper club. I live in South Seattle but could travel anywhere in the city or South King County. If anyone has interest in a group, or room for another member, I'd love to know!

It sounds like there are quite a few people from different areas who are wanting to be apart of a club so we might end up needing to actually have two. (Does anyone know what is a good number of people to have - not too small, not too big??). I live in South Snohomish county but would be willing to travel where ever in order to meet new people and share good interests. If any of you would like the details for where the K/B group is having their "informational-set-up" meeting, let me know.

Holly -
Although the Eastside might be a bit too far for a group, if anyone shows up who is from the seattle side of the water, you can send them my way!
Good luck with the K/B meeting!
