View Full Version : Animated avatars???

I just tried changing my avatar. I'm trying to use an animated .gif that I've used in the past successfully. I'm getting an error that says "You may not upload animated images." That's pretty strange since the one I'm trying to replace is animated. There are also a lot of other folks who have animated gifs. Did I miss an upgrade or something??

Hello????? Can anyone fix this problem....or at least acknowledge it??? I'd really like to get rid of my Christmas tree avatar.

I wanted to change mine after the upgrade on the site, but it wouldn't let me either. I'm not sure if this just temporary, or if they aren't allowing animated new ones. I'm interested in finding out too.

Oh, no kidding Funnybone - you want to change your little guy? He cracks me up everytime I see him. I actually saved him, and sent him to a friend in an email.

LOL and thanks. :D I wanted to change him over Christmas, but when I couldn't get another animated one, I didn't dare - just in case I couldn't get him back. I do like him too, but from time to time, a seasonal one would be a nice change.

A seasonal one is fun during the appropriate season. Now that Christmas is 2 or 3 weeks behind us, my twinkly Christmas tree is slightly out of season. I'll send an email to Jennifer. I was hoping that someone from their Tech Support checked this forum so everyone would know what's going on. I guess if I head anything, I'll post it.

We can now upload (appropriately sized) animated gifs as our avatars. :D Thanks so much to Jennifer!!!!
