Glad to hear it was a success. What soups did you end up making? Was one a particular favorite among the group?

Jmarie - I posted this a while ago and then got so busy I never came back and responded. Glad to hear you're doing well despite the divorce issues...

  1. I stumbled on your post about Kresge's tuna salad while doing a yahoo search (for something else). I signed in on this site simply to reply to you. LOL

The reason you can't duplicate the recipe is because the "missing ingredient" is impossible to buy. My sister and I used to go up to Kresge's at kids on Saturdays and that's what we'd order. The lady prolly never figured I'd remember "pickled celery" for 30 years or so. LOL You'll have to make it yourself; I did. I picked up a package of this on a discount rack http://store.mrswagesstore.com/mrswagdilpic.html I chopped up raw celery and packed it in a jar. Followed the directions on pkg (used only part and adjusted accordingly). Left pickled celery in fridge for a week. Used oil packed albacore tuna, and Hellman's/Best Foods mayo (not salad dressing), a tablespoon or so (your preference) of drained pickled celery on plain white bread and that was that! I promise, it will work.
