ISO WW no point soup
Does anyone have the recipe for the WW no point (or is it one point) vegetable soup? I'm not a WWer, but my sister and mom were and they mentioned this. TIA!

Per serving:42 cal,0g total fat, 0 g sat fat,0 mg. chol,63 mg sod,8g total carb,2.4 g dietary fiber 3g. protein, 41 mg cal. This is pretty good soup for starting a diet. I even take it with me if I'm out as it doesn't spoil easily. Now I better go make my own as I need to get back on the wagon!!!!Oh and it's best to double the recipe so you always have it in the fridge... |
I just wanted to add;
I really don't like zucchini and so every time I make this soup I substitute celery and get great results. It is a "free" vegetable, so it's still zero points. I know some people also like to add a can of chopped tomatoes (also free). Suzy |
Thanks everyone. I'm going to try this sometime this week. I'm looking forward to it. I would love to have a "free" food!

I have a zero point cabbage soup recipe that I'd be happy to post if anyone would like it. It's excellent. If you're familiar with the Big Boy restaurant chain, it tastes just like their cabbage soup.

Barrie -
I'd love the recipe for cabbage soup, if you don't mind. I've got half a cabbage sitting in my fridge waiting to be used! For the WW soup, last time I made it I added a handful each of garbanzos and black beans (I had leftovers in my fridge). I figure it added lots of fibre, but to be safe I counted it as 1 pt instead of 0. Still pretty filling for only 1 pt! Jen |
I'll post the recipe tomorrow, Jen! [I'm at work now (if you can call it that ;) ) and the recipe is at home.]
Also, I've made the Garden Veggie Soup posted here many times and I always add a can of diced tomato, undrained, to the soup. It's very good! |
Here you go! Sorry for the delay.
WW Cabbage Soup 46 oz. tomato juice 2 TB minced dried onion 3 cubes beef bullion 7 TB lemon juice (I use a little less) 1/2 cup water 3 tsp. liquid sweetener or 7 packets Sweet & Low Combine and bring to boil. Add shredded cabbage (at least 1/2 head) and cook until tender. Enjoy! :) Barrie |
Regarding the WW 0 point soup, I also use squash in mine and it makes a great addition!!:)
|
Toss in some edamame; I'm not sure how it affects the "points" but it sure tastes good, adds fiber, and that all-important soy protein!!
