healthy brownies? Good oxymoron.
Thanks! I'll probably use orzo. I've seen some recipes that add chicken. Does he ever do that?
Do you have a recipe for your dh's avgolemono or does he wing it? My lemons are starting to ripen and I'd love to try that soup.
Brrrr! Too early for that.
I agree! My mom used to put sugar on it, but that didn't change anything.
Another opinion on the low salt versions. http://dontsalt.blogspot.com/2008/11/low-sodium-pantry-supermarket-broths.html
Could be that boiling the water and wine together dilutes the flavor in the pasta. That seems the most logical explanation.
I stopped using Swanson's. Even their reduced sodium is extremely high.
I try to stock up on Kitchen Basics unsalted (carton) when it's on sale. I've bought Trader Joe's low sodium (carton), but...
I found quite a few recipes that did a few minutes boil in water and then finished it in the wine. Maybe the flavor is more intense done that way. I don't know. That's why I'm asking who has...
Wow! I'm so impressed with your progress! I didn't read the thread initially, because I've never dealt with a stray. We have neighborhood cats, but that's not the same.
Congrats and kudos! Looks...
I wonder if the taste differs if you use water and wine separately?
Are you talking about the Google Custom Seach for CL?
Was watching a Food network show this morning and she made drunken pasta. I've seen Giada do the same. Do you make it? Do you boil the pasta in a combo of water and red wine or first in water then in...
Favorites is Internet Explorer, isn't it? Which version do you have? I have a Mac and use Firefox & Safari for my browsers. Bookmarks are called Bookmarks.
You think things are slow now ... charge a fee and watch this board die.
Max is still 50.
That man is a challenge, lol. He doesn't like heat, doesn't like bitter ... what else? ;) I find arugula more peppery/nutty than bitter.
OMG, I love arugula. Just picked a bunch today. May have to try a version of this.
You amaze me! I know you only have a small kitchen, yet you seem to be the most adventurous around here when it...
Around here hard cider is available in 6 packs the same as beer. Woodchuck is the one that came to mind when I saw the recipe. Dh used to drink it. Guess if I bought a 6 pack to make the pulled...
Past 2 weeks have been gorgeous! Perfect fall weather! No need for a/c. Love having the doors to the screened porch open all day.
I did something similar at LSU ... writing a separate note to the dean of the vet school commending the doctor.
I think a card would be a lovely gesture.
Gratefulness sometimes needs to be expressed. A few years ago when I had to let one of our cats go, I was so thankful that the vet (not our usual one, but...
I was going to watch Forever, but haven't and now probably won't.
Not a new show, but it fits your criteria for a new episode each week ... Person of Interest. First two seasons were serial. I...
Yes, her recipe did call for mild ... 2 Tablespoons. I used hot, but only a teaspoon. That's the same amount I use in my butternut squash bisque.
Couldn't get your link to work, but I'm guessing it's the soup I mentioned above. It's funny, the one thing about that recipe that made me keep looking was the single teaspoon of red curry paste. I...
Dh recently had his bone density checked. Doctor prescribed more calcium (I think 1500 mg) and 2000 units of Vitamin D per day.
