In the food lists on fitday I often see "NS" or "NFS". For instance:
- Milk, NFS
- Ice milk, soft serve, NS as to flavor
Does anyone know what that stands for? I wondered if it is something like No Fat/Sugar or No Fat, but that does not make sense because 1 cup of Milk, NFS = 124 calories and has 5 grams of fat.
Thanks for any insight!
Could it be non-fat soy? Does such a thing exist?
Okay, you got me wondering, so I googled and came across this http://www.ers.usda.gov/publications...n03001appE.pdf where at the very bottom of page 6 and 9 it says NFS = Not further specified.
Thank you funnybone! OK, that makes sense. You think they would explain it somewhere

LOL, when I saw "NS" at Fitday, I thought it meant, "not sure." Made sense to me.
