    Cleveland -- bridal luncheon ideas

My brother is getting married in Cleveland this summer and my sister and I would like to host a bridal luncheon on Friday. I'm thinking something light and feminine with excellent food (natch), but, not being from the area, have no clue where to find such a place. Any recommendations from natives?

Okay, be advised that I have only been to Cleveland a few times but this restaurant knocked my socks off! We went there for lunch and it was fantastic. If you contact the owners, I'm sure that you could have the outdoor patio reserved for you, and they would probably work on the menu with you as well. That's the kind of place it seems to be...

Don't be put off by the outside appearance-- inside this plain, wood-sided house is a great place to eat.

Can't you just eat what I put in front of you? Do you have to know what it is?

I don't know if this is your cup of tea but I've heard raves about the tea served in The Lobby Lounge at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel downtown. It's Fri-Sun from noon-4. Very British and ladylike and probably special. Their number is 216-902-5255.

I've had tea at the Ritz several times and it is very nice. I've never been there but a friend got married there is the Baricelli Inn. It's right in University Circle near the Art Museum and the Botanical Gardens. They have a site baricelli.com. Little Italy has many good places but hate the parking. Good luck!

    Sorry for the delayed response...

Thanks so much for the ideas. I am going to check them out and put my head together with my sister to make a decision!

Part of your decision should rest with where the majority of folks who will be attending live/will be staying in Cleveland. Cleveland is a very East/West divided city, so if the wedding is on the East side, you don't want to choose someplace on the West side for the bridal luncheon or the guests who live in Cleveland will be annoyed. If folks are on the East Side, Gamekeepers' Tavern in Chagrin Falls might be a nice choice - it would be a pretty setting for a bridal luncheon.
