Question Another Question: Does 1 Pound Mascarpone Cheese = 2 cups?

Does 1 Pound Mascarpone Cheese = 2 cups? I still haven't got all this conversion of amounts down yet!

I am making the strawberry tiramisu from epicurious this weekend and I just wanted to be sure I buy enought mascarpone...usually you can get 2 cups from one container so I just want to be sure I shouldn't buy 2 containers...thanks!

I think the problem here is that you are trying to convert a weight measurement to volumetric which is going to vary on every item. Do you have a kitchen scale where you could go from pounds to ounces (weight ounces, not liquid ounces) instead?

Here's a chart that might help you with some things.
