    You can't figure that out?

That's for people that are not under 18, not over fifty, and nothing in-between.

Glad you started this. I was surprised in the recent Ken Burn's thread how many people talked about their parents being in WWII! That was very telling.

Seathyme - I've been really curious lately to know how old you are. Some things you really can't tell online. Thx for jumping in :-)

Badunnin - some of us choose to spend the "child rearing years" partying, traveling & dancing with stripper poles instead :-)

I RAN up and down the Stripper Pole! How many times do I have to TELL you this?

Oh, yeah, did I mention that this whole time we're standing on blades 1/8 of an inch thick. Is ice hockey hard? I don't know, you tell me. Next question."

I share a birthday with my Dad, and so, it is always a special day for us. I just turned thirty-seventeen...you know, thirty-eight, thirty-nine, thirty-ten, thirty-eleven...

Way to go, Max! I was hoping someone would 'fess up to being older than dirt... I mean, me!

It's an anonymous poll though. You can't tell unless you fess up on the thread, which is optional....

You seem so mature and grounded - I would have thought you were older for that reason.

Not to say that 28 is an infantile or immature age either.........

But don't take it the wrong way - I'm not talking about how old you LOOK.

This is sure to be the type of post that can be totally taken the wrong way, so I hope you know what I'm trying to say.
Thank you! I had to grow up pretty fast when I was a kid (my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when I was in grade school) and have been told this same type of statement for quite a few years now. I didn't take it the wrong way at all and consider it a compliment. I think more than a few of Jeff's (he's a few years older than I) friends and family were a little taken a back when I first told them how old I was 8 1/2 years ago

Sigh! The last time we had this poll I checked a different box

I thought, since my birthday is next week and I'm entering a new decade , I'd better answer quickly so I wouldn't have to be in a new catagory, too. How nice of Debie to lump all us "50 and older"s together.

Chronologically, I'm 49 years old but my body feels like it's 70 and my mind is probably like that of a 2 year-old.

I'm 47, but know that 50 will be here way too soon. I just don't like birthdays that end in 0. <sigh>
Okay...it's time to pull up your big-girl panties and get on with it. (Seen on a bathroom wall.)

Um, did I totally miss something?? I don't see how what she said could be interpreted as being a negative statement in any way.

I don't see how that could be interpreted as negative either.

Sorry, over-sensitive I guess, because of something similar said about a friend (which was meant to be derogatory. )

    52 here.

Since many of us are menopausal, I'll share this. At a family gathering recently a bunch of the females were chatting about hot flashes and the like, but the oldest cousin said once all the hot flashes and menopause symptoms went away she felt 20 years younger!
