    Kitchen/Food Quotes

I'm thinking of painting a quote onto the wall above my stove, so I'm looking for that perfect quote that I'll want to look at for a long time! What are some of your favorite food or cooking related quotes?

These aren't quotes per say, but cartoons that I have taped to my office wall.
#1. Mother talking to her child at the dinner table "It's okay to mix peas and corn, but don't call it porn".

#2. From "The Family Circus". One of the children says "I don't care for any pie, but I'll have lots of a la mode"

Sorry, had to share, just thought they were cute

Thanks, those are some good ones so far!

Terri - I had one possibility picked out that is close to one you posted:

"Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all." ~Harriet van Horne

But I also like "Love is never having to say no to garlic"

My husband says that one of the first things he learned upon marrying me is that at least one person thinks garlic should go in everything, including our eggs at breakfast!

    [Edward Bulwer-Lytton (1831-1891) Lucile (1860)]

I may put this quote on the wall in my kitchen:

"Only the Pure of Heart Can Make Good Soup" - Beethoven

It makes me think of my dad - he made the best chicken soup I've ever had.
