How much raw chicken to yield 5 cups cooked?

    The title says it all

But I'll add that it's skinless, boneless chicken breasts. I have to make Chicken a La King for my grandmother's 86 birthday; this is her mother's recipe (which I'm modifying slightly -- hers calls for 9 cups cooked chicken, 1 cup of butter, and 8 cups of whole milk!).

    TIA,
    Allison

I'd guess 4 to 5 depending on their size. We've been getting monster sized ones lately. Are you shredding them after cooking?

One pound of raw boneless, skinless chicken produces approximately 3 cups of diced cooked chicken. So you'd need about 1.5 to 2 pounds.
