Endometrial Ablation

I am schedule to discuss this procedure with an OB.
I've googled and read about the procedure, but would like to have feedback from anyone who has this done.

So if your willing to share your experience, I'd love some advise

AzAnne - Did you meet with the doctor? I was at my gyn's office yesterday and they talked to me about it. Sounds like it would solve a lot of problems.

I had an altrasound in prep for this and I had fibroids so they will not do it. (this was 6 years ago.) I've had to have another altrasound so I was thinking about talking to my doctor to see if things were any better regarding that.

We found a cyst on my ovary. I have an additional altrasound scheduled later this month to see if the treatment worked. Otherwise I guess we will talk about removing the ovary in which case would make the EA a moot point... I'll be half way to the big M then.

I had the procedure done 5-6 years ago, and it changed. my. life.

It was performed on a Friday morning, I rested all day (took no medication except Midol for mild cramping - much milder than what I felt during a normal period), and I felt great by Saturday morning.

I highly recommend this for anyone who no longer has the desire to procreate (because you can still conceive after the procedure) and who is having problems with periods.
