I don't know how I managed this but I have a corrupted CD and can't view the files on them. There are family photos and other personal records on the CD. I need a file recovery software that is good that can retrieve the info off the CD for me. Also what about one for the Hard drive? I have files on my laptop that I know were deleted before I quit using it because I couldn't get it fixed.
I want software that is trusted also. I don't want to ruin these things anymore than I have to and I want a good experience with doing this if I am brave enough to do it.
About the scanner: Which one is the best to buy? It's been a while since I have had to buy one.
Right now I have an all-in-one HP that I can not use because no matter what I do it won't work. It has something to do with the printing heads. I'm getting tired of buying one every couple of years so if I have to I might as buy the thing that will be used the most and that is the scanner. I normally don't print anything out, not even recipes. I just use the computer and go back and forth in between the living area and kitchen when I am making a recipe that is on the computer or just write down the ingredients and a brief synopsis of the directions and go make the dish. I guess I can buy another all-in-one but I want it to last too.
