Thread: making your own cookbook?

    making your own cookbook?

I'd like to make a cookbook of my own recipes. This isn't for professional or publishing reasons, but rather for my DH since he'll be out of town for work this summer. Does anyone have a software/template/program they'd recommend using?

I tried using the HP activity center template, but the template boxes are so small its only good for short recipes with few ingredients. Any help would be appreciated!

I haven't used this one, but I have been meaning to give it a try to see how it works.

    This one is fun.

I've been playing around with it quite a bit and it gets better and better as they update the software.

Have you thought about just typing them into Word? Rather than binding into an actual book, you could slide each recipe into a page protector (I like Staples medium weight 200 count pack). I don't know how you would do page numbers and an index, but you could still do a table of contents.

    Sounds like a great project!

I use Mastercook. I have done cookbooks as holiday gifts a number of years. Mastercook makes it pretty easy.
