    Peachtree Aluminum Clad Wood Windows???

Does anyone here have any experience with Peachtree windows? I need to replace the windows in my house, and was looking at these at Lowe's yesterday.

I was just on the gardenweb window site, and it seems Peachtree customer service isn't the best.

The windows look great and are just what I have been looking for, but I don't want to wind up with bad windows.

I can't speak for the quality of Peachtree windows, but we're replacing all our windows with Marvin windows. They're being installed by a local contractor who works with a local lumberyard. I think that way if there are any problems, I can just call the contractor.

They were about 2/3 the price of the Anderson replacement windows we were looking at.

I dont know about that brand, Milgard is used extensively around here. Just for some good info on insulation quality, check out their website.

Make sure the U factor and SHGC are good.

The other thing to keep in mind is many window mfgr guarantee their windows only if installed by a licensed a window contractor.

I replaced all of mine 4 years ago with Marvin and love them. I was deciding between these and Pella and liked the outside look of Marvin better. Alot of the satisfaction will be in the correct installation. I don't use Lowes or HD to install anything anymore because I know so many who are disatisfied with their installation of products.
